Hullo, I’m Astrologer Patrick Arundell, and here is your Astrology Overview for WC 19th February 2018. As this week begins, Mercury has just relocated to Pisces, and is joined as the week begins by the Sun, and the pair are conjunct for the first two days of the week. Mercury then goes on to forge a very powerful link with Saturn, the Sun will repeat from Thursday. We can use the fluidity and mutability of the Pisces energy, in conjunction with the structural benefits of Saturn. The flexibility linked to good research, and practical implementation can be good things to pursue.
All week also sees Venus aligning closely with Neptune, both themselves located in Pisces. Neptune is co-ruler of Pisces, and Venus is exalted in this sign. Should any of us be lucky enough to be exposed to the arts, film, music, healing or spirituality, this can have the most uplifting and consciousness-raising affect. This combination can also be one of true love, but equally due to the deceptive qualities of Neptune, can see us putting someone on a pedestal, only to find that their feet are made of clay. So, if you do meet someone for the first time, even if it's a very positive experience, it's probably best to let the relationship grow at its own pace, before putting too much expectation upon it.
Indeed the romantic dimension this week is challenged by the role of Mars. This is going to be squaring up to both Venus and Neptune, and it is an example of how we can't look at aspects and planetary influences in isolation of the overall solar chart. Mars squaring with Neptune for example, can be the trickster combination bar none. So whilst great to be open minded, and progressive (Mars in Sagittarius) it just takes us back to the original point being a little bit careful. More positively Jupiter continues a fantastic angle with Pluto and just like last week this can be a real chance to progress business and financial opportunities that have been well thought through. However Jupiter is in quincunx with Uranus. So whilst growth is possible, it's also worth being mindful of not being too risk-taking with our resources. Another case of steady as we go.
The Quarter Moon on Friday occurs in the sign of Gemini. It's clash with the Sun in Pisces, also suggests we may encounter someone towards the end of this week and early into next week, you may be a little bit economical with the truth. Along with Mars this square to Venus and Neptune, this is another hint, could not necessarily take what is said to us at face value, and especially if we are dealing with a known gossip or someone new.
