Joseph speaks: I wish today to talk about medicine and to start with one of my statements, which will set the cat amongst the pigeons.
There is nothing wrong with you!
This is a message for all of mankind – There is nothing wrong with you.
Because you are a vibration, because you are a soul, you are perfection and you are a part of God. And, as nothing is wrong with God – God is an ongoing state of perfection – you are a mirror of that perfection. From cradle to grave, in your terms, you are perfect.
How, then, can it be that there is so much illness, so much malady in the world? This stems from a misconception of what you are. It stems from treating a ‘coating’, from applying healing energy to a place where healing energy cannot go. You can only alter the centre, you cannot alter the surround, the shell, the physical body. In your society, and in current thinking around the world, the shell is approached and seemingly healed and altered. But you cannot do that. No doctor can do that. No shaman can do that. No one can do that because health is yours automatically. You cannot alter the perfection of God that flows through you! What you have to alter is attitude. What true medicine should be on your level is an altering of attitude because it is the human attitude that is wrong, that creates the illusion of illness. Illness is separation. Illness is resistance. Illness is unhappiness. Illness is a tendency to surround oneself with the baser vibrations rather than to look upwards and inwards at the perfection that is mankind’s as souls.
The true doctor, or the doctors that will come to your world eventually, will be people who can help souls to get in touch with themselves again, who can guide them back towards the centre, who can penetrate this shell of illusion and say, ‘This is who you are... this is why you are here... this is what you are capable of...’ True medicine – healing – can be likened to the stripping away of the shells of vibrations that souls have placed around themselves and believe to be their true state. They dream illness... I’ll repeat that... they dream illness. Illness is conjured up… and it is attractive.
Illness attracts sympathy, for example. It is a mini-illusion within your societal illusion, within the greater illusion that is the Earth plane. And this is what you, as souls, do; you create, within the greater illusion, lesser illusions that you place around yourselves and believe to be true, and illness is one of those illusions. Medicine is also an illusion because it is the transference
of power from God into a pill. Or a scalpel. Or a doctor. Or a surgeon. Or a nurse. It is a transference of faith in God into any of those people or things.
And that is why – very often – the patient appears to get better, because they are so full of faith in the pill, or the potion, or the lotion, or the man with the scalpel, that they elevate them to the state of the God within, and they cure themselves. But really, the pill has done nothing; the surgeon has done nothing; the nurse has done nothing; it is the patient that has projected faith from inside themselves outwards onto that person or potion; has believed in that person or potion as a means to their wellness – their wholeness – again, and therefore they have made themselves well.
The way in which you treat people medically on Earth at the moment is very basic, is very unenlightened. And it will take an age before people are treated in the right way, because there is a demand from people that they be treated in a certain way. They expect the scalpel, they expect the pill, they expect to be separated from friends and family, to be in hospital... they expect to go through pain and discomfort; that is the only way they know of to cure themselves. And when they have gone through this process, they then decide whether they are going to be healthy or whether they are going to move on, to die.
Therefore, you have set up a society in which there are people who can supply that demand. There is the doctor who will separate you from your friends and family when you are ‘ill’; and this should never be done, because it is love that changes the pattern within people and penetrates the shells that people place around themselves. There are doctors and nurses who will put you through discomfort, who will put you through pain, who will put you through an agony of wondering whether you are going to recover or not, because that is what you expect of them, that is your medicine. And so you make yourself ill, and then you decide whether you will cure yourself or not; and you decide on the degree of pain you will put yourself through in the meantime.
So there is never a vengeful God decreeing that you must be ill, there is only cause and effect; but that cause and effect does not apply to the core – to the soul – that soul is perfect, that soul knows nothing of illness because that soul comes from and exists within a realm where there is no illness, there is no decay, there is no lack, there is nothing only the God that that soul is a part of, and that God is perfect.
So the illness is a projection around that soul, and the medicine that is needed at the moment is education. People need to know who they are, but they do not accept who they are. It is
easier to go along with the illusion.
I must also touch on the point that many people want to be ill... they want to be ill. It is a focus for attention. It is a way not to involve yourselves in the things that seem to be so difficult for you on Earth. You do not have to work, you do not have to be nice to people; because when you’re ill all is forgiven and all is, therefore, excusable.
People need that perspective of the soul. To understand that they are souls, to understand that what they go through in life is only a suit of clothes, or several suits of clothes, of which illness is just one. To understand that when their attitude – their perspective – is changed, then the illness disappears, because, in the mind, at some point in its spiritual evolution, a light goes on, and the person says, ‘I’m not ill. How can I be ill? I am more than this; I am not this at all. This is simply something that I am putting myself through.’ And so medicine at the moment is simply a complex placebo. No matter whether they are operating on the brain or the big toe, or giving out pills or prescriptions, it is a placebo; the whole thing is a placebo.
The medical profession does not understand what it does, and the souls who think they are ill do not understand illness! How can things change? Things will change. I foresee for you at some stage in your future centres in which people will sit to raise their vibrations; to lift themselves up and out of the illusion for a time, to make the illusion their tool and not their master. And to link up to the great chain of souls that exists around this globe, and to eventually link up to the chain of souls that exits on other planes and on other spheres.
In simply sitting, and in remembering who they are, and in reaching out to each other in love, they will heal themselves. They will lift themselves above illness, and they will dose out medicine to the world. And we look forward to the day when people will sit to bring Light to themselves and to others – the true medicine – to raise everyone above the illusion so that, when they are dropped back into it, they will see it as an illusion, and see it as a tool to be used to further the evolution of their soul.
There will be a time when people – when souls – leave this level of consciousness as easily as walking through an open door. They will not be ill, they will simply realise and feel the pull that tells them they are changing, that they have come to the end of one circle of circumstance
and are entering another one.
Disease is belief; epidemic is belief. Epidemics... disease... these are not transmitted by microbes; they are not transmitted by germs. They are transmitted by belief; belief at the individual soul level and belief at a group soul level on Earth. And that – again – is why some will contract flu and some will not. It is the measure of belief in the disease that brings it to you, and nothing to do with the micro-organisms that are always blamed for disease.
Illness – as you are aware – is a reflection of what is wrong – what is perceived to be wrong – and what is ill at ease within the soul, and illness attacks the body in an area that corresponds to what is wrong with a soul spiritually.
The way to cure oneself at this stage in your evolution is by letting go of the illness, by not acknowledging it, by letting it fall away and saying that it is not part of you. Say I am separate from it and it will fall away, because it has no purchase on the soul, it has no power. It is only the power given to it by the soul that allows it to exist.
This is why hypnosis can be effective... the hypnotist reaches inwards to the point of existence of the soul at which the two minds meet, and the hypnotist says, ‘Wouldn’t it be a good idea if you let go of this illness/worry/belief?’ This is why hypnosis works, but again it can only work if the soul is willing to let that hypnosis work on itself/him/herself.
Self-hypnosis is possible. Souls can actually convince themselves that they are not ill, that no harm can come to them, by drawing on the power of the God within, the creative power of God, but at present this power is always used – or almost always used – negatively on your plane.
Souls have a need for each other. They have to come back to a time when there is co-operation and an inter-dependence between all souls, but at this present point in time souls seem to have distanced themselves so far from God, and it is resulting in illness. It is resulting in a need for medicine.
We would ask that you pray for souls on a daily basis, and radiate the White Light around the globe. The White Light is needed -that is the medicine I recommend at this time for mankind.
