I was visiting my mother on a Friday night, and decided to stay-over.
During the course of the evening, while having a chat I told her of my previous nights’ dream, about ‘Cliff Barns’ the character from the soap-opera, Dallas.
It was strange-enough dreaming of a television personality, but considering I did not even watch that particular programme, the dream seemed even more misplaced.
However, in my dream, ‘Cliff Barnes’ came to my office and asked me out on a date. It was a far-fetched dream, to say the least, and both of us had a chuckle about it and went on to speak of other topics.
While I related the dream to her, I remembered what a ‘different’ almost ‘strange’ dream it was; for the complete dream seemed to take place in slow motion. Everyone in the dream seemed to be floating; it was such a slow peaceful dream. I was enjoying the pace and peacefulness of it, more than the dream itself.
Awoken by a sudden loud noise, I was most annoyed. I tried to return to the dream, but could not. I must have eventually slept, for I awoke next morning feeling refreshed and relaxed, although the thought of the dream still lingered at the back of my mind, somewhere.
Opening the newspaper at random, I was completely shocked, for the face of ‘Cliff Barnes’ literally jumped out at me. Another aspect of this whole episode was that the newspaper was not my daily purchase, yet was my mothers’ regular newspaper. So had I not been with her, I would probably never have seen it.
I did not know it at the time, but this was a short glimpse into the future, back then it seemed only like a wonderful, yet, some-what strange, real experience.
Years later, due to my ‘metal bending’ abilities being published in a national magazine I agreed to meet with a psychologist from Birmingham University. Our conversation led to the many other psychic experiences I had encountered, including the ‘Cliff Barnes’ dream. This experience was explained to me as being that of a ‘Time Slip’, where a persons mind slips into another time. The face of ‘Cliff Barns’ jumping out at me from the newspaper was a ‘slip of mind’. My mind jumping into the future from where it actually stood at that present time.
The meeting led to the psychologist telling me of a group of people who were meeting after a trip to a physic convention in the States. Many physic occurrences were recorded at this event, the evidence was to be shown at the evening mentioned. As the house in which they were to meet was fairly local I decided to join them.
The house looked from the outside and felt on the inside as if much of the ‘unseen’ happened there. At first it was only intuition but been shown around the house made all my feelings much more tangible. We were shown into one of the many empty bedrooms, where the ladys’ cats mainly lived. The room tempeture was extremely cold, cold enough to make you shiver and ‘catch your breath’. Three cats had died in that room, she swore she saw their spirits!
One thing led to another. The evening became night with many psychic encounters taking place, as the others said that they found me to be very ‘sensitive’. Perhaps this was true, for as I opened the cutlery draw, all the cutlery started moving around violently. In shock I walked away, only to hear my own footsteps extremely loud as I did-so, making everyone stop what they were doing and look at my feet. From then on this happened once or twice more.
An un-planned séance and table-tipping took place. I was scared and shocked at feeling the weight of the table and the sharpness of its legs upon my thighs. I now believe that tables really do fly. I am a sceptic no more!
One lady felt the urge to write, and so began the automatic writing. She did not know what made this happen. Words came into her mind; she wrote them down really quickly, in the dark. Re-reading what was written, every word and sentence made sense, although worded in old-fashioned style English.
The psychologist asked me to go into a laboratory environment so as they could conduct various psychic tests and trials on me, I declined. Regret this? I don’t honestly know, but strange experiences continue to happen to me.
Having drawn my Spirit Guide psychic artist Carol Polge suggested I train as a Medium. I have never stopped considering this option.
At present I work in a Funeral Parlour and still have many unusual experiences, mainly ‘words’ appearing in my head, from where I do not know.
